Throughout the year the PTO works hard to earn money for our school. We accomplish this in many ways. Please educate yourself on the services that we provide, our fundraisers and the retail incentive plans we participate in
The following are 3 main ways in which the PTO fundraisers for our school.
The first is the Go Play Save Coupon Book (formerly Citipass). This fundraiser happens in August. The cost of these books is $30.00 each. Students can purchase none, one or sell multiple copies. Participation is considered when purchasing or returning an unsold book. Our PTO profits at over 50%. All of these profits go into the General PTO Fund.
The second is our Holiday Shop. The Holiday Shop is a wonderful day for our students. Vendors are brought into the school and each grade level has a time slot to peruse the gymnasium and purchase gifts for family and friends. The PTO sets each vendor up with a cashier and supplies the monies for each vendor. The PTO takes 20% of the total made from each vendor and pays the vendor the remainder. A portion of this money from the previous year is given to those in need in order for children without money to shop for their families. This need is also determined by the guidance department. Any additional monies made will be placed in the General PTO fund.
Our third and largest fundraiser is The Boosterthon Fun Run. This run generally happens in the spring of each year. It is not just a run, but 10 full days of character building and fun throughout our school. Children receive pledges for the amount of laps that they plan to run. Incentives are given based on the number of laps. All parents are welcome to join for the run. This is a favorite of our students. Funds raised from the Boosterthon are placed in the playground renovation fund.
Additional Funding Is Generated Via:
Our school has two spirit rocks, one in the front of the building for bus riders and one in the back of the building for car riders. The cost of the rock is $10.00 and the rock must be scheduled. The spirit rock funds are collected and go into the PTO General Fund.
Spirit wear is sold online throughout the entire school year and over the summer. In addition, we sell at school events such as Back to School Night, Curriculum Night and the Spring Carnival. We have our standard shirts and throughout the year we have specialty shirts created. All of the spirit wear profits are entered into the PTO General Fund. Please contact Kristine Hyde with any questions or click here to order.
Ice Cream Sales:
Ice Cream is sold EVERY FRIDAY in the cafeteria from the first week in September until the second to last week of school. We have a variety of ice cream flavors. Each ice cream is sold for 50 cents. All of the profits are deposited into the PTO General Fund.
Dine Out Nights:
Throughout the year we have Dine Out Nights in our local area. These nights are listed on our calendar. Each location offers a percentage of sales. Our school benefits financially from them all. Many times you must let the cashier know what school you attend in order for us to get credit. This is a great way to get out into the community and to support our school. All monies are deposited into the General PTO Fund.
The Indian Land Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization (ILES PTO) supports ALL areas of the school – academics, athletics, administration, students, teachers, staff, parents and community.
The ILES PTO welcomes the opportunity for businesses, community organizations, parents and other individuals to support the students, teachers, staff and parents of Indian Land Elementary School. With the help of sponsorships, the Indian Land Elementary School families will receive additional resources and support that are not covered by District Funding.

Retail Incentive Plans:
The Box Tops program has two main components through which we can earn cash for Indian Land Elementary School: Box Tops Coupons – Clip Box Tops coupons from hundreds of participating products found in your local grocery store and send them in to your teacher. Our school earns 10¢ for each Box Top redeemed. There are also bonus opportunities – We can enter sweepstakes and participate in other promotions to earn even more cash for our school!
All we have to do is download the application, assign Indian Land Elementary School and snap pictures of our receipts from any store, big or small, that sells grocery items to earn Roo Points (cash donations) for our school. Whether you’re shopping at a supercenter, dollar store, or local convenience store – it doesn’t matter where you shop or what items you buy – Shoparoo will make a cash donation for every receipt! Submit up to 20 grocery receipts within a rolling 7 day period.
We can also snap pictures of our receipts from any restaurant or other retailer (that doesn’t sell grocery items) to earn entries for Indian Land Elementary into Shoparoo’s $1,000 monthly sweepstakes and $15,000 yearly sweepstakes! Each receipt counts as an entry into both monthly and yearly sweepstakes, so spread the word – the more receipts you submit, the greater our school’s chance is of winning. Submit up to 50 non-grocery receipts within a rolling 7 day period.
Indian Land Elementary School collects inkjet and toner cartridges, cell phones, MP3 players, digital cameras, GPS devices, headsets, and laptops for cash. Funding Factory provides free UPS labels and shipping materials to make the pack and ship process easy. Funding Factory pays for ALL acceptable items you ship too them, regardless of condition. That’s right – we even earn cash for our broken or off-brand cartridges!
Publix: ILES #BARCODED for each school.
Indian Land Elementary PTO will present each family with a couple of Publix Partner Card with the Indian Land Elementary School Number on it. Just present your Publix Partners school card at checkout. All purchases at Publix* will help earn money for Indian Land Elementary. For every $37,500 spent cumulatively by our school’s participants, Publix will award our school $250.
All grocery purchases are eligible with the exception of lottery, Ticketmaster, and money orders.
Family and friends welcome. They can present cards linked to Indian Land Elementary School at any Publix (except in Florida) and benefit us.
Harris Teeter: ILES #1092
Harris Teeter’s Together in Education program is a fund raising program for schools in our communities.

Starting August 1st each year, parents and community members are able to link their VIC cards to Indian Land Elementary Together in Education school code.
This one time sign up process must take place each school year. Indian Land Elementary is linked to your VIC card until May 31.

Once we receive the final approval and confirmation from the IRS as to our 501(c)(3) compliance we will kick off AmazonSmile. It is a simple and automatic way for you to support your favorite charitable organization every time you shop, at no cost to you. When you shop at smile.amazon.com, you’ll find the exact same low prices, vast selection and convenient shopping experience as Amazon.com, with the added bonus that Amazon will donate a portion of the purchase price to your favorite charitable organization. You can choose from nearly one million organizations to support.
To shop at AmazonSmile simply go to smile.amazon.com from the web browser on your computer or mobile device. You may also want to add a bookmark to AmazonSmile to make it even easier to return and start your shopping at AmazonSmile.
Tens of millions of products on AmazonSmile are eligible for donations. You will see eligible products marked “Eligible for AmazonSmile donation” on their product detail pages. Recurring Subscribe-and-Save purchases and subscription renewals are not currently eligible.
You use the same account on Amazon.com and AmazonSmile. Your shopping cart, Wish List, wedding or baby registry, and other account settings are also the same.
On your first visit to AmazonSmile, you need to select a charitable organization to receive donations from eligible purchases before you begin shopping. We will remember your selection, and then every eligible purchase you make on AmazonSmile will result in a donation.
We are currently in the process of adding corporate sponsorships to our list. Once this is worked out we will send out information through your classroom or make it available on the web page. If you own or work for a company that would be interested please contact Sylvia Melendez.
